This job is a hands on job with a difference - new business, existing business as well as running trials, working at the mills, assisting with machinery breakdowns and a whole lot more.  Our Client, based in KZN, in the Paper and Pulp industry is seeking someone who is willing to work hard and get the job done.  Standby every 3rd week, excellent remuneration and benefits.  Below is a brief list of duties

[Supply and sale of specialty pulp and paper manufacturing chemicals to Clients as well as water treatment chemicals to various other end users]Job Description:
  • Develop new business,
  • Maintain existing business,
  • Identify objectives and strategies to assist in maintaining and moving the business relationship forward.
  • Set goals and produce creative workable plans to achieve objectives.
  • Understand client’s vision, culture and financial conditions, relationships and growth expectations.
  • Understand and analyse client’s needs to formulate medium and long term strategies to continuously grow the business.
  • Stock control,
  • Liaise with customers,
  • Identifying clients needs,
  • Writing informative and accurate sales reports and documentation,
  • Equipment maintenance,
  • Build and maintain customer relationships,
  • Evaluating competitor activity and developing appropriate responses,
  • Equipment ordering,
  • Assisting on trials at other mills,
  • Every 3rd week standby,
  • Achieve sales targets, perform test work,
  • Troubleshooting,
  • Ensure client report management.
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with internal personnel associated with the portfolio of accounts.
  • Communication of operational and financial requirements to all the relevant internal divisions.
  • Be aware of industry changes and analyse their effect on the customer.
  • Analyse and obtain competitor information and business activities.
  • Responsible for the management of sales, and relationship with particular customers,
  • Establish budgets with the client and company,
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and new products,
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training and reviewing professional publications,
