Position Summary
We are searching for a dynamic and professional Personal Assistant who will be responsible for providing valuable support to the Managing Director. On behalf of the Managing Director, the Personal Assistant will communicate with others outside and inside the organization, will manage busy schedules, and will complete complex administrative tasks. An ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. This person must be exceedingly well organised, highly flexible and enjoy challenges.

Key Performance Areas
 Primarily assist the Managing Director with organizational, financial and personal administration on a daily basis
 Be friendly and personable while managing communications and maintaining the Managing Director’s busy calendar (requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as consultants, clients, co-workers and board members to coordinate various board and regional meetings)
 Be able to communicate with shareholders and directors in a confident and professional manner
 Book flights and accommodation both locally and internationally as well as arrange forex
 Comprehensive diary management  Compiling reports and board packs
 Prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner
 Lead short-term projects and initiatives as requested by the Managing Director
 Respect the need for the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity of information
 Have a proven ability to exercise good judgment in recognising the scope of authority
 Assist the Managing Director with all assigned tasks
 Assist other Directors as delegated by the Managing Director
 Organize/plan meetings and take comprehensive minutes of all meetings
 Ensure that key dates and events are highlighted to the Managing Director ahead of time
 Arrange annual conferences and social functions as required

Skills and Qualifications
 Matric and post qualification /secretarial / administration
 Minimum 5 years’ experience as a PA to a Director  Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
 Able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once
 Deadline driven
 Ability to be flexible and exercise sound judgement
 Proficient in MS Office, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
 Previous experience in a Hospitality environment would be advantageous
