Production Manager Responsibilities

The Production Manager reports to the Nursery Operations Director. The Production Manager position is responsible for
the cost-effective production of all seedlings and plants at the nursery- ensuring that all orders are completed on time
and in full and that the seedlings consistently meet or exceed the customers’ expectations in respect to quality and size.
The Production Manager must optimize all inputs including staff, infrastructure, equipment and all growing inputs to
cost effectively and efficiently produce healthy, disease free and vibrant seedlings that meet Comany's high standards.

Key Competencies

Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or higher
Minimum 3 year previous experience working within an intensive horticultural operation with a large labour force
Basic knowledge of agric chemicals and their safe application.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other data based software
Knowledge of vegetable, forestry indigenous tree and plant varieties preferable
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 certification preferable
Ability to multi-task and keep calm under pressure
Efficient and organized character
