Permanent Position for Regional Stock Controller
Job Summary
The Regional Stock Controller responsibility is to manage and coordinate the daily stock control duties of the warehouse. It also includes training and performance evaluations of assigned line reports. Together with the Senior Stock Control Supervisor (SSCS), stock maintenance &accuracy must be maintained at the highest level of accuracy. Daily operations must meet and exceed daily performance expectations to increase the company’s overall market share. Company Standard Operating Procedures must be followed and at no time will the stock be moved without the correct documentation.
 
Safety, Sanitation, Security
 
  • Proper Personal Protective equipment to be worn at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA).
Responsibilities
  • Create & distribute daily customer stock reports timeously
  • Create & distribute daily Stock Control Schedules
  • Conduct regular analysis of stock reports and implement appropriate actions to resolve any variances
  • Daily Supplier Orders / Queries / Credits
  • Manage stock team line reports.
  • Ensure that company procedures & warehouse instructions are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure that warehouse practices comply with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Maintain stock accuracy at all times.Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security is maintained as per company operating procedures.
  • Manage together with the SSCSthe receiving of all stock transfers daily from all Suppliers. Check the accuracy of the written up stock (Description; Batch Number; Expiry Date).
  • Follow up daily with the SSCS & Stock Controller on all queries & credits
  • Manage stock team to ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Conduct random checks to ensure that products binned are according to the FEFO system on WMS system
  • Manage stock team to ensure that goods received correspond with the paperwork and are of good quality.
  • Conduct random checks to verify product conformance to quality standards. Ensure all damages have been recorded &correct procedure followed.
  • Monitor and manage that Bin Transfers have been done as per inventory control schedule.
  • Monitor and manages that Replenishment of Pick faces has been done as per inventory control schedule.
  • Ensure that all stock queries have been investigated and resolved.
  • Manage together with the SSCS the training of SOP’s with stock team.
  • Train on all new stock items and promotions
  • Monitor  & oversee Customer Returns
    • Sign for Collection Slips
    • Credit Returns from Customers
    • Accurate Reverse binning of returned stock
  • Manage & oversee the MBG 100/110% -Record information. Check that the destruction of products is done according to company procedure.
  • Together with the SSCSmanage & oversee regular Cycle Counts.
  • Manage & conduct monthly stock takes or as required.
  • Together with the SSCS, identify areas of improvement and establish innovative ideas or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • You may be required to perform other company related duties as requested by management from time to time.
  • Assist on other regions as and when required
Administration Duties
  • Manage staff recruitment, selection, orientation and training of employees continuously
  • When the necessary coach, counsel, and discipline employees; plan, monitor and appraise jobs in conjunction with the HR manager
  • Initiate corrective actions
NSCM Backup
The Senior Stock Control Supervisor will be required to stand in for the NSCM at any time that the NSCM is not available (i.e. leave; illness & meetings).
Skill Requirements
  • 6 years’ experience in stock management
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
  • Ability to investigate variances.
  • Knowledge of full MS Office proficiency & the ability to input & retrieve data on PC.
  • Maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts: reconciling variance, inputting data.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
