Sales Representative Garden Route (Full time)

  • Have highly developed business acumen, analyse sales, monitor trends and be pro-active in recommendations based on findings

  • Able to work independently, self-disciplined and self-motivated
  • Have great verbal and written communication skills – bilingualism essential (Eng. & Afr.)
  • Effective relationship building
  • Experience in merchandising and display building
  • Detail products to the veterinarian and other pet specialty personnel
  • Professional and dress and conduct
  • Responsible for sales of all products
  • Strong people skills
  • Driver’s license essential
  • Proven track record of selling and negotiation skills
  • Organisational, time management and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Good Excel skills are essential
  • Veterinary experience is an advantage
  • Sales experience essential
  • Good physical health / able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Flexible approach to working hours with a willingness and ability to respond to needs outside ‘office hours’ during the early morning, evenings and weekends
  • Flexible approach to traveling as your presence may be required at other activities (National or International congresses, etc.)
 
Sales requirements:
  • Ensure sales targets are met in line with Company strategic and marketing plans within the assigned geographical area.
  • Targets to be set in line with the economic climate and industry trends
  • Focus targets as well as penetration objectives to be achieved
 
Call Rate requirements:
  • Achieve minimum average call rate of 160 calls in 6-week call cycle.
 
Strategic and Marketing plan requirements:
  • To execute, with excellence, the Company Strategic Sales and Marketing plan.
  • Marketing objectives to be achieved
 
 
 
 
Training requirements:
  • Participate in all internal training programmes, including quizzes, web-based training sessions, etc.
  • To present to customers both nutritional training as well as sales and marketing related key drivers in order to secure support and first line recommendation
  • Participate in training and on-boarding of new team members as well as self-development and organizational development
  • Own personal growth and development
  • Provide training to vets, nurses and front shop in line with national focus requirements
