MANAGEMENT / COST ACCOUNTANT
Our client is a growing maize milling company with an established brand situated in Delareyville, and they seek to appoint an experienced management/cost accountant to fill the above position.
The management/cost accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
The post reports to the Manager Finance and key performance areas include the following:
  • reconcile control accounts
  • VAT submissions
  • compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
  • ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • prepare financial management reports
  • debtor management
  • Cost accounting
  • continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
  • liaise with SARS
  • monitor and support taxation issues
  • liaise with auditors
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
  • B.Comm Accounting
  • Articles completed
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice
  • Have a proven success record as an accountant.
  • Accounting experience in a production environment will be an advantage.
The remuneration package will be discussed with the successful candidate.
