Job Description:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Accountant in our client’s Finance Department.
 
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will meet the following minimum criteria:
  • Degree (accounts III), CIMA or CA(SA)   {CA(SA) preferred}
 
Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience
 
Key Performance Areas/ Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Preparation of annual financial statements
  • Company tax calculations and submission of annual returns
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting process for DBCM
  • Ensure adherence to legislative and corporate governance statutory compliance requirements to manage the risk and consequences of non-compliance
  • Facilitate the financial decision making process at management level by advising on financial statutory requirements, policy and procedures.
  • Facilitate the implementation of financial systems and processes to ensure optimal accountability, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assist with reviews of capital expenditure and forecasts to ensure alignment with business strategy and to optimise return on investment.
  • Shares professional knowledge for specific areas of technical expertise.
  • Builds relationships across disciplines by sharing business information and knowledge to enable the attainment of operational objectives
  • Maintains stakeholder relationships by implementing and managing service level agreements
