Job summary:
To assist the Wealth Planners / Financial Advisors / Wealth Managers in the implementation of clients’ financial planning and investment instructions by compiling investment and retirement proposals.
Key areas of responsibility:
• Consolidate and summarise all policies & investments
• Make necessary projections
• Highlight different tax implications
• Prepare the necessary cash flows to ensure sustainability of income
• Identify the appropriate investment vehicle and structure
• Identify the client’s capital & income needs in the event of death/disability/severe illness/retirement
• Determine capital/income shortfalls
• Analyse & compare various local & offshore unit trust funds (CIS). Obtain & provide performance graphs, asset allocation, risk & return scatterplots, risk correlation tables etc.

People:
• Liaise closely with all stakeholders (i.e. Wealth Planners / Financial Advisors from Efficient Wealth, Efficient Wealth, External brokers, Investment Consultants from Life and Asset Management Companies)

Administration:
• Advise Wealth Planners on where to invest, and tax implications
• Drafting of reports including cash flow, asset allocations and adding annexures as per instructions from the Wealth Planner
• Provide additional assistance to the Wealth Planners after presentation of the report, when necessary
• Research investment portfolios and investment performance
• Provide recommendations on various products and investment structures
• Track relevant legislation and keep up to date on investment solutions
• Adhoc risk cover reporting (if required by Wealth Planner)
• Analysis of investment (i.e. unit trusts, shares etc.)

Process:
• 3 Business days’ lead time in preparation of investment reports/proposals for Financial Advisors

Education:
• Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP)
• A financial qualification is essential (e.g. B Com finance, accounting, investment management)

Experience Required:
• At least 2 years’ experience within a financial services environment, specifically with the focus
on Investments
Relevant personal attributes:

Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows (advanced level in Excel)
- Building financial models in Excel
- Morningstar, Moneymate, Spotlight Investor, Future sight, Portfolio tools provided by Asset
Management Companies (Financial tools)
