Regional Business Development Manager(JHB)

The successful candidate will be required to develop business in the Gauteng Region with the focus on Turbos. Engine Parts is a division of Imperial Holdings with reporting lines into Imperial Group Limited. 
The key deliverables will include, but not be limited to the following:
  1. Develop business in the Gauteng Region with the focus on Turbo repair and Turbo complete units;
  2. Plan, forecast and report on sales potentials by customers.
  3. Report all customer information regarding delivery, telesales and account problems.
  4. Manage customer sales and ensure that optimal customer potential is achieved.
  5. Report all competitor pricing and activities.
  6. Assist in achieving revenue targets and ensuring that new business is generated by growing customer base and increasing market share in the geographical area of responsibility.
  7. Build and strengthen customer relationships.
  8. Assist the Technical Representatives within region, on pre-claim evaluation and feedback, in an effort to save costs.
  9. Stand in as acting branch manager for when the branch manager requests it.
  10. Provide assistance and leadership to the Branches when the need exists.
  11. Available to manager special tasks and requests where applicable.
Applicants for the position will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
  1. Grade 12 Diploma
  2. Tertiary qualification in Business Management or equivalent would be advantageous.
  3. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in automotive aftermarket industry.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of turbos as well as aftermarket auto parts
  1. Must have excellent presentation skills, ability to make sensible presentations which trigger more sales and business.
  2. Excellent communication and project management skills.  You will be expected to have strong probing, consultative listening skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and persuade legal and client personnel
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy and a proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
  4. Problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and strategic planning skills; strong motivation; business and finance understanding
  5. Be able to multi-task and work to deadlines, be methodical and logical, as well as thrive in a robust and fast-paced environment
  6. Sound experience obtained in and an extensive knowledge of the aftermarket parts business and automotive industry.
  7. Computer literate proficiency.
  8. Willingness to travel extensively in his area of responsibility, when applicable and possibly overnight stays
